According to OA’s Preamble, “there are no dues or fees for members.” All are welcome at an OA meeting, as a contribution is not required. However, many of us have found that a financial contribution, no matter how small, supports our recovery.
The Seventh Tradition of OA says: “Every OA group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.” We “pass the basket” for voluntary contributions during our meetings to pay rent for meeting space and to purchase literature. Although a suggested contribution is $5, it is never a requirement.
You may also contribute towards the expenses of the Western New York Intergroup. These expenses include Zoom access and our website.
